I love these pickles, the Manhattan Style Kosher Dills. I don't eat them often, but I've been eating them for years. I used to buy them at the Colusa Market, then Trader Joe's started to carry them and Berkeley Bowl West carries them, so generally I buy them wherever I happen to be shopping when I need some. Today I learned that TJ's no longer carries them, so I made a special trip to BBW to buy a new container, as I have 1 pickle left in the container I have at home and I'm going to slice it to put it on the tuna sandwich I'm making for lunch tomorrow. Now I'm set for pickles for a while.

Wow, an out-of-state consumer had to refer us to this excellent sauerkraut? That's what I get for living in So Cal for the past...well, "several" years (we'll just leave it at that)! Sonoma Brinery may cost more than "jarred", U.S. grown and processed sauerkraut, however, but certainly is NOT more expensive or costly when consumers consider the benefits. For one, the taste is far superior to even the best U.S. or German processed sauerkraut available in jars (Eden, Woodstock, etc). Second and for our requirements, Sonoma Brinery contains beneficial probiotics, sulforaphane and other healthful benefits. Excellent, superior taste, quality (Sonoma Brinery sauerkraut cabbage tastes great with a slight crunch!) and healthful benefits. Ignore what you MAY consider to be a high price point. This is an excellent value when considering the aforementioned taste, quality and health benefits.

Sonoma County once again shows it is the center of the fermentation universe. Not only does the county produce some of the best wines in the world, craft beers better than just about anywhere else, and a budding distillation industry, Sonoma Brinery puts the county at the top of the pickled food pyramid. The whole kosher dills are some of the best pickles I have ever eaten and definitely best in class. Same goes for the sauerkraut. The Wild West Dills are also great. Do they give tours or have a tasting room where I can get samples? That would be a weekly stop for me. Next time you are at Olivers or Trader Joe's look for Sonoma Brinery products. You will not be disappointed. Yum, just yum!

Sonoma Brinery is a place to get pickled. They have substantial Manhattan-style pickles, spicy bread&butter pickle slices, along with a savory raw sauerkraut that's perfect for a reuben sandwich. Their spicy bread&butter pickle slices are addictive- they don't need to be in a sandwich or a burger, they are that good. Healdsburg is a hidden culinary paradise- and little locally owned companies like this one are the reason why.

Yummy crunchy pickles. The brine is strongly spiced with garlic. Way better pickles than Claussen. Priced almost double than Claussen. But for aficionados well worth the extra few dollars.

I buy the kosher pickles at Raleys in Sacramento. The label says Healdsburg, California. I'm planning an outing. Their pickles are crisp, fresh and very tasty. Manhattan Style whole kosher dills.
